The aim of the Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks is to describe original work in asynchronous learning networks (ALN), including experimental results. The Journal adheres to traditional standards of review and authors are encouraged to provide quantitative data. In addition, major reviews and articles that outline current thinking will be accepted. | The Sloan Survey of Online Learning |
| The Sloan Consortium publishes an annual comprehensive national study of online learning in Higher Education. Working from a representative sample of all United States institutions of higher education, this study has collected data on attitudes and practices from over 990 institutions. |
