Job Description:
* Develops curricular objectives with subject matter experts. * Develops exceptional hybrid and fully online courses. * Designs instructional templates based on fully online and hybrid models. * Designs course content, exams, evaluations and assessment surveys. * Incorporates course content from Subject Matter Experts. * Integrates online and hybrid teaching best practices. * Develops course development guidelines and procedures. * Develops faculty online/hybrid program elements. * Develops program and course development guidelines. * Performs recommended updates to program. * Continuously improves development program. * Develops online tutorials, job aids and handouts. * Provides training sessions to select groups of faculty. * Leads and assists faculty participants in comprehensive training program. * Provides faculty and departmental consultations. * Collaborates in development of fully online and hybrid models. * Assists with analysis of new technologies. * Assists with the selection of courses that will be designed and developed. * Contributes with team to evaluate program applications.

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Multimedia Education or Education with Online Teaching Emphasis or related field with five or more years of relevant full- time experience is preferred; however, an undergraduate degree in these fields with appropriate experience will be considered; knowledge of instructional design theories, pedagogical methods, and online/hybrid teaching strategies; familiarity with accessibility guidelines (Section 508, W3C) and copyright laws; demonstrated ability, as evidenced by the presentation of a portfolio, which demonstrates ability to develop courses, best practices, training resources, etc...Experience (at least 5 years of the following): expert in all phases of instructional design; experience working with faculty in a higher education setting; expert developing online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses; expert developing material for faculty online and workshop training; expert at using a learning management system as an instructor and student; proven uses with academic technology teaching strategies, such as: instant messaging, discussions, web conferencing, blogs, podcasting, wikis, surveys, exams, and assignments; experience providing exceptional customer service; several years teaching a university level course is preferable; has created or participated in a faculty development program. Technology usage: PC and Macintosh computers and external peripherals, used in network and internet environments; network systems include both wide area and local area networks using Windows 2003, SQL, PHP Servers and TCP/IP; digital cameras and camcorders; analog/digital converters, video capture cards; slide, paper and film scanners; CD and DVD burners; programming languages-Javascript, Java, ASP, ASP.NET XML, XHTML and PHP; Web development-Dreamweaver; Adobe Suites (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat; Microsoft (MS) Windows XP and Mac OS X operating systems; MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook); Online server systems including: Windows NT, Apache and Linux; web-based applications including online course access through WebCT; academic software (Respondus, StudyMate); WebCT/Bb CE 6 Learning Mangement System. Portfolio required at time of interview.
Salary:
SALARY RANGE: $6,166.00 - $9,900.00 PER MONTH NOTE: It is the general practice of Sacramento State, to hire at the lower end of the salary range. (This does not apply to promotions of on-campus employees.)
